Numbers and objects are drawn as thick 3D block shapes with a visible front and side. That gives small hands big, clear areas to color and makes numbers feel like real objects a child can count.
Each book has 104 single-sided pages. 3D Numbers 1-20 has 49 activities and 3D Christmas Countdown has 48, plus a "This book belongs to" page and a certificate.
The pages inside are identical. The paperback (8.5 x 11 in) is lighter and more affordable for everyday use; the hardcover gift edition (8.25 x 11 in) has a sturdy bound cover that holds up better and makes a nicer present.
Ages 3 to 6. Three-year-olds enjoy the coloring and counting with a grown-up nearby; five- and six-year-olds can work through the puzzles and tracing on their own.

Absolutely. Most pages are coloring, counting, mazes and connect-the-dots, which need no writing at all. The tracing pages are there to build pencil control before writing starts.
About 10 to 15 minutes, which is usually one or two pages. Short, regular sessions build skills better than long ones, and coloring keeps feeling like play.
Pages are printed on one side only, so markers never ruin the next picture. For very wet markers, slide a piece of cardboard behind the page to protect the table.
Crayons, colored pencils or washable markers all work well. The thick outlines are designed for chunky toddler crayons and first markers.
Yes. The pages are bound into the spine, so the neatest way is to cut close to the spine with scissors. That makes it easy to hang finished pages on the fridge.
